Best Late Night Food Joints in Santa Barbara

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCSB chapter.

As we study for our upcoming exams and finish up our papers we tend to refuel ourselves around the wee hours of the night. Here are a few unique late night food places in SB that will help you power through these last few weeks!

1. The Blue Owl

This bougie-hipster Asian-American fusion restaurant is in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara. It serves unique and culturally diverse food from a thai basil cheeseburger to a porkducken.

Yelp Rating: 4.5

Price: < $10

Hours: Tuesday-Friday 11am-3pm, Friday 8pm-2:30am, Saturday 10am-3pm & 8pm-2:30am

2. After Dark

If you’re looking for a hole-in-the-wall place, After Dark is literally a hole in the wall connected to Velvet Jones Bar with a view of the 99 Cents Only Store. I personally recommend the mac and cheese with tater tots and their s’mores waffle sammies.

Yelp Rating: 4.5

Price: <$12

Hours: Thursday- Saturday 9pm-3am

3. Aladdin Café

This relatively new Mediterranean restaurant in IV has students coming for more. The authenticity and the large portions are filling and satisfying and great for us poor college students.

Yelp Rating: 4.5

Price: < $10

Hours: Monday- Sunday 7am-2am

4.  Presidio Market

This is a great hidden gem that sells Mexican and Mediterranean food near the Amtrak station. This small (sketchy) liquor store is a great place to get a full meal and a few snacks to take back home!

Yelp Rating: 4

Price: < $10

Hours: Monday- Sunday 8am-12am

5. IV Deli Mart

Of course IV Deli would make this list. I recommend their famous buffalo chicken cheese fries and the Fat Gaucho.

Yelp Rating: 4

Price: < $11

Hours:  Monday-Sunday 7am-3am
