With midterms coming up, we could all use a little relaxation time. So, give your hair and face a little love with these easy DIY recipes! You can whip them up with simple ingredients you can find in your kitchen.

1. Hair Mask For Frizzy Hair

1 mashed banana

2 tablespoons plain yogurt

1 tablespoon honey

2. Hair Mask For Dry Hair

1/2 avocado

2 egg yolks

3. Hair Mask For Damaged Hair

1 tablespoon coconut oil

1 tablespoon organic raw honey

Keep these masks in your hair for about 30 minutes, then wash out.  A shower cap helps keep it in place and prevents it from dripping.  They may sound gross, but they make your hair feel amazing!

1. Pore-Shrinking Acai Face Mask

2/3 cup sugar

2 teaspoons acai powder OR 1/4 cup acai slush

10 fresh berries of your choosing

1 tablespoon olive oil

2. Rejuvenating Milk Face Mask

1/4 powdered milk

water until thick

3. Exfoliating and Moisturizing Lemon Face Mask

juice of 1 lemon

1/4 up olive oil

Go and pamper yourselves!

Siobhán is a fourth year English major at UCSB. She is originally from the Bay Area and still misses hearing "hella" on the daily. She loves the ocean, photography/ film, music, and good eats (especially burritos). In her free time, she likes to obsessively watch Netflix, watch the sunset, and experiment with new recipes in the kitchen! You can see what she is up to on her instagram @swetzelll.
Kirby is a recent graduate from UCSB currently living in Los Angeles. As a proud Her Campus UCSB alum, she's happy to be back on the HC team covering one of her fave shows: "The Mindy Project." On any given day you can find her with her nose in a book (let's be real - it's a Kindle). In her free time, she likes petting dogs, binge-watching TV, and eating a lot of food. Find her on Instagram: @kirbynicoleb or @GirlBossEats.
