As college students, we usually don’t have money to splurge on Sephora trips, but one thing that every girl should invest in is a good liquid foundation. Whether you need it to go out at night, to work, to an interview or just to look cute throughout the day, liquid foundations are the type of once-a-year purchases that are really worth every penny! Here are the top 5 high end liquid foundations found in Sephora that will completely change your makeup routine for the better!

*Ordered from lightest coverage to fullest coverage*

1)      Bare Minerals Bareskin Liquid Foundation ($29)

This foundation is perfect for those collegiettes on-the-go who do not like the feeling of having makeup on. This liquid foundation is considered to be the “no makeup” makeup because it’s just that- it evens out your skin tone, while still looking and feeling like you don’t have any makeup on! It has a silky/dewy finish, yet is buildable if needed. For maximum results, set with a setting powder to make it last longer and reduce oil buildup throughout the day and voila- no makeup makeup in full effect!

2)      Urban Decay Naked Skin  ($39)

This foundation is light to medium coverage that lives up to its name- Naked Skin. It’s a weightless liquid foundation that almost feels as light as a BB cream! It is also buildable with a silky finish for maximum natural looking results. As one of Sephora’s top sellers, this is recommended for those collegiettes who want to amp up their foundation routine and look a little more dolled up, while still maintaining that natural look!

3)      Makeup Forever ($42)

For those who are not makeup savvy- let me just tell you that this foundation is like Ellen Degeneres: liked by EVERYONE! I don’t know what magic potion is inside of this bottle, but it works wonders! This is a medium to full coverge foundation with a satin finish that only requires a couple of pumps and you’re good to go! This foundation photographs well by magically blurring any imperfections and gives your skin an airbrushed look- definitely a must buy!

4)      Tarte Amazonian Clay ($38)

Clay is a perfect descriptor for this makeup. Don’t think this is exactly like clay in the sense that you’ll feel like you’re wearing a heavy layer of makeup, as it is more referred to as clay because of the highly pigmented feature! This foundation is for those who need full coverage with a borderline satin and matte finish. It is definitely buildable, but should only be built onto certain tough spots, not the entire face! Also, the way this makeup lasts throughout the whole day is definitely a bonus!

5)      Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation ($34)

As the ultimate full coverage matte foundation, there is no other matte foundation that can compete with this one. Matte is more for those girls who do not like any type of shine to their skin, yet still want full coverage. The matte finish foundation lasts all day and is basically the closest thing you’ll get to a tattoo in foundation form (Kat Von D never disappoints)! For those of you who have stress acne or tough spots that just don’t seem to ever go away, this foundation will be your shield for war- covering all that needs to be covered while making you look fabulous!
