From attending top universities to immersing herself in charity campaigns, twenty-three year old, former Victoria’s Secret model Karlie Kloss, is the epitome of brains and beauty. In a recent interview with Elle magazine, Kloss expresses her aspiration to make, “a meaningful impact on the world” and her most recent accomplishments prove that ambition. Here are a few reasons why Karlie Kloss is boss:
1. She’s educated: Kloss traded in her VS wings for textbooks by taking a course in “The Business of Media, Entertainment and Sports” at Harvard Business School, followed by her enrollment in NYU’s Gallatin School of Individual Study.
2. She codes: For two weeks, Kloss learned to code at the Flatiron school in the US, which trains enrolled students for careers in software development.
3. She’s a philanthropist: The former supermodel’s passion for coding sparked the formation of her scholarship fund Kode with Karlie, enabling twenty-one underprivileged high school girls to attend the Flatiron school’s pre-college academy. Moreover, the proceeds from her Karlie’s Kookies campaign help provide meals to children in need.
4. She’s an entrepreneur: By teaming up with Frame Denim, Kloss designed a line of jeans with an extra long inseam (she’s 6’1’’) and also created eyewear in collaboration with Warby Parker, that seconds as a charity campaign.
5. She’s a Youtube guru: Contributing to the numerous facets of Kloss’s busy life, is her Youtube channel where she offers a sneak peek into her personal world. Her most recent endeavor involves her collaboration with Elle magazine, entitled Elle x Klossy. Kloss will interview some of the top women leading the tech-field as part of a new documentary series.
