Welcome back to school, babes! I hope that these past few weeks haven’t thrown you all for a loop like they have for me. I think we all could use a de-stresser, so here are the stellar events of the month. Because its #booktok week, I will be ending this with a bookish horoscope for you all.

This month, the stars and planets are not too busy, but just busy enough to give us some good shows.

The crescent Moon will join Venus and the bright star Antares in the southwest sky just  post sunset on October 10 (this just passed Sunday). Throughout the month, various planets will pop up in the sky, including Jupiter and Uranus close to the horizon towards the middle of the month and Mercury joining us right before sunrise the last week of the month.

This month’s full moon will occur on October 20 and will be called the “Hunter’s Moon”. If you know anyone named Hunter, tell them this moon is for them. In actuality, this moon is called the “Hunter’s Moon” because this is the time for hunting and storing provisions in preparation for those long winters where food becomes scarce.

On Thursday, October 21st, the Orionid meteor shower will be at its peak between midnight and dawn. Sadly, the moon will most likely be too bright to see them.

With the skies being so free, the stars are able to tell you almost exactly what #BookTok book you should read this month, or at least add to your TBR:
