3 Mocktail Recipes for Sun God (Sun Dogg?)

It’s coming, collegiettes. The awaited, beloved, and coveted Sun God Festival. Now we all know the stigma, that Sun God could basically be renamed as Drunk God, or Sun Drunk?! But collegiettes, don’t be pressured to drink. It’s a long day, and drinking all day could be bad for your health, safety, and, of course, for the day after. Why not enjoy this mocktail recipes that will keep you alert, as well as actually tasting GOOD!
 
1. Banana Pina Colada:
  • 6 Ice Cubes (crush in blender)
  • ¾ cup Pineapple Juice
  • ¼ Coconut Juice
  • ½ Large Banana
  • (Mix on high)
  • Garnish with Fruit of Choice!
 
2. Mai Tai:
  • 1 Large Lime 
  • 1 Cup Pineapple Juice 
  • ⅔ Cup Orange Juice 
  • 6 Ice Cubes 
  • 2 Tablespoons Grenadine
 
3. Strawberry Daiquiri 
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 3 oz of Fresh strawberries
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar (more if strawbwerries are tart)
  • Cracked ice 
  1. Fill your blender with the cracked ice. Add the lime juice, strawberries, and sugar and blend until smooth.
  2. If the mixture is too thick, add a little water.
  3. When you’re finished, pour the drink into a chilled glass and garnish with a fresh strawberry

 

Jasmine is currently a senior at the University of California, San Diego. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Education Studies. Novel wise, she is an avid fan of Edith Wharton and the Lord of the Rings series. She also loves comedic shows like New Girl and The Big Bang Theory, but also enjoys thrillers like Criminal Minds. One of Jasmine's favorite hobbies is trying foods of different cultures; she loves visiting cultural nights and community festivals. Above all, Jasmine worships Beyonce (a.k.a. Beysus, Queen Bee, Baeyonce, etc). Her future aspiration in life is to become the Secretary of Education and have the Hov and B over for dinners.
