Pumped by last week’s lineup announcement? Ready to get your Sun God on? Well, there are a few things that are different this year that you must remember in order to get your wristband. Last year, all you had to do was line up at the Sun God Box Office, but this year’s procedure is a little bit different.
Student eligibility remains the same—you must have a valid UCSD student ID and have been enrolled at UCSD for at least one quarter during the current school year. This also includes international students with PIDs that begin with A. However, there will be no guest, alumni, grad, or other non-student wristbands available as part of the increased health and safety measures.
There are only 20,000 wristbands available per RIMAC Field capacity, so be sure to register online starting THURSDAY, MAY 8 in order to reserve your wristband. Wristbands are first-come, first-served. The registration website will be announced on the Sun God website (http://sungodfestival.ucsd.edu/), as well as the Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/sungodfestival).
Wristbands will be available for pick up ONLY on THURSDAY MARCH 15, the day before the festival, from 10am to 9pm at the Marshall Field Box Office. A valid, physical copy of your UCSD student ID must be presented to receive the wristband. This year, wristbands will be digitally linked to your PID, so if your wristband is found on someone else’s wrist, there will be student disciplinary actions.
More details can be found at the Sun God website: http://sungodfestival.ucsd.edu/wristbands.
Be sure to get your wristbands, collegiettes, and let’s get ready for Sun God!
