As a new Her Campus recruit, I got to have a chat over Zoom with a fellow new member, Bri Florentino! Bri, whose pronouns are she/her/hers, is from San Diego and is currently at UCSD in Marshall College. She’s majoring in Cognitive Science with a specialization in Neuroscience and minoring in Psychology (wow)! Her future plans at the moment are to attend PA school, as the versatility and flexibility of specializations that comes with being a PA is incredibly appealing to her.Â
What made you join Her Campus?
I joined Her Campus because I really enjoy writing on the side, and I thought that being part of a chapter like this would be beneficial for me to start getting my writing out in the open instead of just in my journal. I also like being involved in organizations with intelligent and strong young women or people and it definitely seemed like Her Campus was a group similar to that!
Any hobbies or interests?
I love singing, fashion, spirituality, and skincare! I also like to play piano, guitar, and ukulele, and I’m currently learning the violin!
What are some things in your bucket list?
I definitely want to grow my own garden from which I’d eventually be able to source my own food. I also really want to own a Maserati and buy a house in Bel Air!
Who is your role model / celebrity crush?
My celebrity crush is definitely Kehlani because they’re beautiful and very strong. When they came out as non-binary after becoming a parent to a young child, I had a lot of appreciation for their courage, especially as they are such a big public figure.Â
Where do you want to travel?
I would love to go to Paris; Japan; and Capri, Italy! I really want to go to Paris, especially after watching Emily in Paris on Netflix. I’m also a huge croissant addict; it’s my favorite pastry. I’m also very into designer brands and fashion, and I think Paris is a really great destination for the things I love! I’ve actually been to Japan, but I don’t think I was there long enough. I would eventually like to go back to Tokyo and spend around two weeks there! I also want to go to Italy because I like exploring my roots and Capri seems beautiful.Â
If you could star in a movie, which movie would it be?
For sure Mean Girls – I think it would be pretty funny because it’s such a movie classic, and my favorite part about it is their outfits. If I were in Mean Girls, I wouldn’t be a part of their little Plastics squad. I’d probably just be on the outside looking in and standing up to them!
