This week our minds are all on just one thing: Thanksgiving dinner. I myself will admit that this is something I’ve been anticipating all year (and don’t be shy, you know you have too!) But, this time we’re throwing a twist on the traditional Thanksgiving foods and giving you some new recipes to try! Happy feasting, collegiettes!
Crockpot Turkey
Let’s start with the main dish, turkey. We all know that good things come with time, and slow cooking this bird will make it super tender and juicy. Throw in some celery and onions to boost up the flavor. Total cooking time is a little over 7 hours, but trust me, it’s worth the wait!

Gingered Orange-Cranberry Sauce
Cranberry sauce is one of my personal favorite side dishes, but try something different by adding a zing of orange to it. You’ll need a pop of big flavor after devouring all that turkey, so give this a try!

Stuffing with Bacon and Apples
With so many different types of stuffing recipes out there, I think we have found a real winner. And who could really say no to bacon? Come on now. Throw in some apples for a crunch and you’ve got a side dish that you’ll definitely want to have leftovers of!

Cheddar and Chive Smashed Potatoes
For all of you loaded mashed potato fans, here’s a real treat! Throw in some cheese and chives and you’ve got a mouthwatering mountain of potatoes to slather with gravy. Best part is, this recipe requires no potato peeling!

Pecan Cheesecake Pie with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
Pumpkin is out and pecan is in! This pie is irresistible, store bought or homemade. Maybe you’re not so crazy about the nuts, but the chewy mixed with the creamy makes this delicious creation worth trying. And on top of that, it’s cheesecake! And who can resist a la mode style? Slice up a piece of the pie and throw a big spoonful of Dreyer’s Extra Churned Vanilla Bean ice cream on top and dessert is at its finest!
