This past week, I had the pleasure of going on Delta Draft-A-Date, a social hosted by three sororities: Delta Phi Epsilon, Delta Gamma, and Delta Delta Delta. Each member brings a date, and they coordinate their outfits in camouflage and army apparel. The event was a success, and I was able to see how each girl personalized their own outfit. You may find yourself having no clue what to wear! So I decided to put together a list of costumes that left me saying — why didn’t I think of that?!
1. Anything But Clothes
Hannah Sewell, Brennan Batten and Maer Landis of Delta Gamma use beer boxes to bring a unique twist to an Anything But Clothes Social they had last year.
2. Around the World
Katie Young and Summer Galitz of Delta Phi Epsilon wear kimono style dresses to an All Around the World Social.
3. Things that start with the letter “A”
Jessie Seigel and the lovely ladies of Zeta Tau Alpha dress as Avatars for a philanthropy. I thought this was a great costume idea for future socials.
4. Christmas
Right before Winter break there are always Christmas themed festivities. If you’re going to a Christmas social with a big group of girls, I thought this pinterest-inspired costume was a great idea.
5. Playdate
What’s better for a play date social than a flashback to Barbie? Use cardboard to cut out a Barbie box!
6. Rave
Nina Joung, Rachel Lehrer, Shaina Linsky and Erin Gorsline of Delta Phi Epsilon accessorize their outfits for Electric Daisy Carnival with floral headbands and feather earrings.Â
7. Real Housewives
What says real housewives better than Lily Pulitzer and Kentucky Derby hats?
8. Â Punk
Tania Saade of Alpha Delta Pi uses red lipstick, a black bandana, and a frilled shirt to embody a rock star on a football game road trip.
9. Save A Life
Amanda George, Delta Gamma, and Kaylee Gilbert, Zeta Tau Alpha, dress up as firefighters for the theme “Save-a-Life.”
10. Total Frat Move
For this social, oversized white shirts and backwards hats are used to display “TFM.”
I hope this post gave you some ideas for your next themed party!
