Pulling off the perfect hip look can be a struggle. Balancing originality with popular trends all while being in school can be a serious challenge. Turning our Pinterest closets into a reality isn’t always within a collegiette’s budget. A simple way to start building the perfect “hipster-esque” wardrobe is to go looking for the basics. Booties, shift dresses and lots of accessories to layer are a good place to start. These pieces combined were the final look that Lauren Greger put together. She nailed an edgy yet feminine outfit and stood out from the crowd in the best way possible. Near Heavener Hall, Lauren shared her personal style with me, so keep reading to learn more about her!
Name: Lauren Greger
Age: 21
Year: Junior
Major: Finance
Her Campus: What are you wearing and where is it from?
Lauren Greger: “I’m wearing a T-Shirt dress from Cotton On. My booties are from Tilly’s. This choker necklace is from Forever 21, and my sunglasses are from Ray Ban.
HC: What is your favorite part of this outfit?”
LG: “I would say that my Ray Bans are my favorite part of this outfit. I just really like the sunglasses, I guess. They are really trendy. I also get to hide behind them.”
HC: How would you describe your personal style?
LG: “When I’m not in class or being lazy, I try to go for a more hipster chic vibe. I’m more laid back with my style. I really like T-Shirt dresses and whatever is comfortable but still trendy. Topshop is the store that’s probably closest to my personal style. It’s too bad that we don’t have any stores here.”
HC: If you could steal the closet of one celebrity who would it be?
LG: “That’s a hard one. I would have to go with Gigi Hadid. I love her Instagram, but I’m probably never going to be able to have her wardrobe.”
