We’ve all been there. It’s 8:30 a.m, you’ve overslept and are scrambling to get ready. Being in college is rough, but you can make it a little easier. The night before class, or a meeting, take some time at night to prepare for your day.
Pick out your clothes
Sometimes finding something to wear in the morning is stressful. Picking out your clothes the night before can relieve that. Take a few moments before bed to think about what you want to wear the next day, and lay it out. You’ll also have more time to iron or steam it at night.
Set up for breakfast
Breakfast is the most important meal! Don’t skip it just because you don’t have time. The night before, either pack a banana or granola bar so you eat in the morning. Double points if you decide to make something ahead of time, like breakfast wraps or a yogurt parfait. You can also get your coffee maker ready the night before, so you don’t have to worry about messing with it in the morning.
Make a to do list for the next day
Get a clear idea of what your day will look like tomorrow. Write down a list of everything that needs to be accomplished. Hang it on your wall or keep it in your backpack to check off throughout the day. This will help to keep you in check and make sure your day goes smoothly.
Fix up your phone
Update your phone, delete your unwanted apps and manage your storage. You’ll get so frustrated tomorrow when you can’t take a photo or video, because you don’t have enough room on your phone. Not to mentionAnd the constant reminders to update your software that are is super annoying. Save yourself some stress and just do it the night before.
Pack your bag
Instead of scrambling for your stuff before you leave, just pack it up the day before. Get your computer packed away, and make sure you have your wallet and spare phone charger packed. This will ensure you don’t forget stuff in the morning.
Clean up a little bit
Wipe down your counters, clean your dishes and organize your workspace. There is nothing more stressful than waking up to a messy room. It’ll only take a few minutes to clean up before you go to bed, and you’ll feel so much better the next day.
Do yourself a favor, prepare today for tomorrow. You never know what the next day will bring, so alleviate some stress for yourself!
