Â
Name: Marcos LopezÂ
Age: 21Â
Year: Grad studentÂ
Relationship status: SingleÂ
Hometown: El Paso, TexasÂ
Fun fact: I speak 4 languages Â
Hobbies: I am obsessed with sports. My favorites are golf and soccer, but I like anything that is competitive. Â
Favorite food: Sushi — especially sashimi tuna. Â
Favorite TV show: Currently it’s Suits, but my all time favorite has to be House. Â
Favorite place to go at UF: The most perfectly formed tree in the Plaza of the Americas. I love taking naps or just looking up at the clouds there. Â
Dream job: Orthopedic surgeon for the Dallas Cowboys.Â
Are you in a fraternity or any campus organizations? I am really involved with UF TOPSoccer, and I have been for the past 4 years. Â
Celebrity Look-a-Like: Taylor LautnerÂ
If you could pick one place in the world to travel to, where would it be? I would love to go to Fiji. I would spend my days lounging in a hammock on a beach or diving along the reefs. Â
If you could be anyone for a day, who would it be? Lionel Messi. Watching him with a soccer ball is like watching Beethoven play the piano. To be able to do those things, even if just for a day, would be incredible.Â
If you could be any animal, what would you be? I would be an eagle. They are the apex predator, can see for miles and, of course, there’s that whole being able to fly thing. That would be awesome. Â
If you could pick any time period to live in, which one would you choose? I would live in Mexico during the height of the Aztec empire.
Pet peeve: When people start to tell me something and then all of a sudden say, “never mind.” I am a curious person, so this drives me insane. Â Hidden talents: I am really good at Jeopardy. I am an encyclopedia of trivial facts.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I would be less intense. Sometimes I feel like I don’t let myself stop and smell the roses enough. Â
Turn-ons:Â A good sense of humor is a must. After that, I want someone who is down to earth and easy to talk to. I am really attracted to girls who are self confident and independent.Â
Turn-offs:Â It rubs me the wrong way when girls are too full of themselves or are critical to other girls.
What’s your idea of the perfect date? For me, the perfect date would involve the outdoors. I would love to hike up a mountain and have a picnic with a scenic view. Just a great girl, good food, and nature. It doesn’t get better than that. Â
What do you think sets you apart from the other cuties? My sense of humor. Â
Reaction to being asked to be a Campus Cutie: Really flattered.Â
