Happy first day back, collegiettes!

Welcome to Her Campus at the University of Florida! My name is Cara Chiaramonte, and I am the Campus Correspondent of HC UFL. I am so excited to begin working with our wonderful staff and bring you amazing content and events this semester.

Her Campus is the No. 1 online community for college women. Written entirely by the nation’s top college journalists – with 3,000+ contributors and counting – HerCampus.com features national content on Style, Health, Love, Life, and Career supplemented by local content from 200+ campus chapters across the country (that’s us!).

This semester, new content will be uploaded on our chapter’s webpage each day. From features and blogs to campus cuties and local events, we’ll cover an array of topics we know you Gator girls love! We’ll also be hosting quite a few contests and giveaways throughout the semester, so be sure to keep up with our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram (hercampusufl) accounts for more information about those.

Last semester, our hardworking staff earned our chapter its first “Gold Level” ranking, but we couldn’t have done it without all of you. We are beyond excited to see what this semester brings and know that with your support and participation, we can bring our chapter to new heights!

Cara oversees Her Campus Media's community department and serves as strategic lead for the expansion, development and management of all HCM communities, including the Her Campus Chapter Network, InfluenceHer Collective, College Fashionista, Spoon University, Campus Trendsetters, alumni and high school. She works closely with company leadership to develop new community-related sales offerings and the Integrated Marketing team to support all community-focused client marketing programs from end to end. Cara has experience working with high-profile talent, such as Jessica Alba, Andrew Yang, Amber Tamblyn, Aja Naomi King, Troian Bellisario, Jessica Marie Garcia, Nico Tortorella, Nastia Liukin, Rebecca Minkoff, Cecile Richards and Samantha Power, as well as brands like Coca-Cola, L'Oréal Paris, The New York Times, HBO, Uber, H&M and more. Having been a part of the HC family since 2011, Cara served as Campus Correspondent of the HC chapter at the University of Florida where she studied journalism, women’s studies and leadership. A New Yorker turned Floridian, Cara has a Friends quote for any situation.
