Nail care is important for keeping your cuticles and nails healthy and beautiful. During the colder months, it is extremely important to ensure your nail area is moisturized to prevent cracking and peeling of the surrounding skin. I’ve practiced a nail care routine for a few months now and noticed a difference in my nails’ appearance. Here are some of my favorite nail care products:
- Blossom-Scented Nail Polish Remover
-
My favorite product for removing nail polish is Blossom’s scented nail polish remover. When you open the bottle, the product smells like flowers. No longer do you have to deal with the pungent odor of nail polish remover. The product is also acetone free. Acetone is an ingredient commonly used in nail polish removers, but the ingredient is harmful to nails, causing them to dry out. And let’s talk about the packaging. The glass bottle with the infused flowers is aesthetically pleasing and adds a unique touch to my vanity. Overall, this is a great product to show your nails (and vanity) some love.
- Blossom Cuticle Oil
-
For those times that I use a glitter nail polish, I find it’s pretty tough to remove with an acetone-free nail polish remover. In this case, I use a regular nail polish remover with acetone. Afterward, I apply my Blossom’s cuticle oil to the cuticle area, rubbing the product into both my nail and the skin surrounding my nail. The cuticle oil smells flowery and is very pleasant to apply. On days when my hands feel particularly dry, I apply cuticle oil to the nail area and make sure to moisturize my hands with lotion.
- Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream
-
I use this product for moisturizing my nails on a daily basis. I apply the cuticle cream just before going to bed every night to ensure my nails are moisturized. By applying this product regularly, I noticed that the skin around my nails don’t peel, and my nails look well kept. The cuticle cream also has a sweet lemon scent.
- O.P.I Natural Nail Base Coat
-
I have heard the importance of applying a base coat before nail polish in order to protect your nails. I learned my nails stain less when I use a base coat. While I do have to spend more time applying nail polish, it’s well worth the wait.
By choosing products beneficial to your nails and skin and having a regular nail care routine, your nails will look healthy all year long, especially during those cold winter months.
