This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

Name: Stephen King
Major: Spanish
Minor: Business
Hometown: Orlando, FL
Relationship Status: Single
Favorite Foods: “I really like Asian food and Hispanic food. I like chicken and rice and Arepas… I enjoy General Tso chicken… I guess I like chicken a lot.”
Favorite Movies: “I like movies that make me think like Gladiator, Sherlock Holmes, and Inception, but I also like Despicable Me 2.”
Favorite Quote: “Fate loves the fearless.”
Hobbies: “I like to surf. I’ve been surfing since I was like 9. I like to skateboard, and I like to fish. Surfing is a big family thing for me. My dad taught me when I was little, and my mom’s whole side of the family surfs, too.”
Are you involved in any clubs or organizations? “I’m in the surf club, and I’m on a water polo team, and then I’m also in an intramural Frisbee team — Ultimate Frisbee.”
How would you describe yourself using 3 words? “I’d say bold, athletic, and I want to say intuitive.”
What would you do if you won the lottery? “Pay off student loans.”
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? “I see myself working for a large medical device company in sales and traveling to Spanish-speaking countries and working a lot.”
What’s the bravest thing you’ve ever done? “Probably climbing a 30-foot waterfall and jumping off in Costa Rica.”
If you had one super power what would it be and why? “The ability to teleport because I feel like that’s the fastest way to travel.”
Where would you go on an all-expense paid trip? “Tahiti because there’s really good surf there.”
Fun Fact: “I’m 1/6th Native American.”
Something you would change about yourself: “Probably change how shy I am. I think if I was a little more outgoing things will be better. I’m not too shy where I can’t socialize with other people, but I would definitely want to be a little more outgoing.”
Favorite spots in Gainesville: “I enjoy Lake Wauburg because I really enjoy the water. That’s something I like the most — being around water. I like 101 [Cantina] on Tuesdays because I like techno.”
Turn-ons: “Intelligence, sense of humor, and outgoing.”
Turn-offs: “If a girl is socially awkward; if they’re kind of being too flirty because then you don’t know who else they are being flirty with and sometimes the way they dress… like if it’s too promiscuous — that’s definitely a turn off for me.”
What is your ideal girl like? “Well, looks wise: shorter than me. I mean that’s not hard, I’m 6’4… dark hair and tan. Personality wise: I like a girl who is outgoing, laugh a lot, and makes me laugh. That’s pretty much it.”
What would your ideal date be? “Something romantic. Probably dinner at a nice restaurant, maybe a movie or ice cream afterwards… something along those lines. “
If you could date a celebrity, who would it be? Jessica Alba.
Celebrity Look-a-Like: “Paul Walker, actually… and then this is coming from another male, but my ‘sexiness’ has been compared to Liam Hemsworth. It came from another male so I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not…”
Favorite sports teams: “The Miami Dolphins; of course, the Florida Gators… I don’t really follow baseball, but for basketball Orlando Magics. That’s my hometown.”
What is the most romantic thing you’ve done for a girl? “One time I set up a picnic on the beach at sunset.”
What has been your best/worst pick up line? “Not a huge fan of pick up lines, so I haven’t really used them.”
How did you feel when you were asked to be Campus Cutie? “I felt surprised and excited.  It was a confidence booster for sure.”
