With exams coming up, don’t let skincare become another worry to check off in your planner.
With finals right around the corner, it’s time to hit the books and study for my last exams of the year – which can cause a lot of stress and can make my already-oily skin even more prone to breakouts. Going to college in Florida means completing the sweaty workout that is walking to and from campus on a daily basis. I don’t have time to keep running to the store to buy oil blotting papers or cotton pads to apply products in a ten-step routine complete with a jade roller finish. How can I find that balance of self-care when my schedule is at risk of overflowing with other responsibilities during finals week?
Thankfully, Estée Lauder makes self-care during these busy times easy with new products in its Nutritious line. Don’t let the cute ombre packaging conceal the powerful punch inside these products. I know you weren’t looking to learn some more scientific terms during this study break, but you’re going to want to hear this. Nutrigenomics, which is defined as the scientific study of how human nutrition, health and genomes interact, inspired Estée Lauder to create Nutritious. Just like my brain needs nutrients to get through a macroeconomics practice exam, my skin needs nutrients to help me look and feel my best all day long. Luckily, EL’s Nutritious products contain more than 92% of naturally derived formulas to help your skin flourish.* These include coconut water ferment for hydration, red algae ferment to reduce redness, and sweet kelp that stops oil in its tracks before it can reach your pores. These Nutritious formulas have been verified by the Environmental Working Group, meeting strict standards and sharing the ingredients used with full transparency.
Whether you have oily skin like me or only the occasional flareup, Nutritious is the product line for you. Find out more about my thoughts on Estée Lauder’s newest innovations in skincare below!
2-in-1 Foam Cleanser
This first Nutritious product comes out thick from the tube, but it blends into my skin so smoothly. You can tell how natural it is just by the smell, which I can only describe as simple cleanliness. When trying new skincare routines, my face tends to rebel and redden in retaliation against whatever newfound fad I am trying at the time. Yet, with Estée Lauder’s cleanser, it wasn’t aggressive towards my skin in both the night and day applications.
In Estée Lauder’s clinical testing on thirty-three women after a single application of the cleanser, pores were immediately minimized by -17%. Talk about efficiency! When you’re a busy college student that can’t be late to an early class and also needs enough sleep to conquer the following day in Gainesville, Estée Lauder is there to get you ready fast and get you ready the right way.
Melting Soft Crème/Mask
After this moisturizing mask, my skin truly glows, and not in the oily shine I’m used to! Despite the bumpy acne I started this journey with on my forehead, my fingers could glide across my face when applying this product. I put this on after the cleanser every morning and night, but you can also opt to use it as a mask once a week. After one application of this melting soft crème for 29 women in its clinical testing phase, skin already looks refined. And after eight weeks for these women, oiliness looks reduced by -52%. That’s a huge difference from before they used Estée Lauder!
And what about makeup? No problem! Any foundation or powder goes on nicely after the mask in the morning, and it comes off with only a few swipes of the cleanser before it’s time to hit the hay. After having the chance to use the cleanser and mask combo for less than two weeks, I didn’t have to look at the packaging anymore to wonder what results would occur. As I was hunched over a book studying for finals, I found my glasses to not slip down my nose as much because my face wasn’t as oily. The few pimples that did emerge as I began to use the Nutritious line (because let’s be honest, nothing is perfect) weren’t as pronounced or inflamed as I found them to be before. Thanks, natural ingredients!
While my Spanish grade might be up in the air, I can be confident in knowing the health of my skin isn’t. With Estée Lauder, self-care gets an A+ in my book.
