What it Means to “Wear the Pants”

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

These aren’t your mama’s old-fashioned work pants.

Ann Taylor LOFT pants exemplify all of the qualities I want out of my career and life. The comfortable, stylish fit and classic color are sophisticated yet playful—something I aim to exemplify every day. Plus, they’re petite just like me!

To me, the “wear the pants” campaign is all about embracing my best assets as both a journalist and a fun fearless female. It means standing up for myself, not being afraid to go

after what I want in life and never letting anyone put me down.

When I wear the pants I feel bold and confident. Whether I’m wearing them out on an interview, running a Florida Magazine Student Association meeting or just sitting in class, they bring out my inner goddess and who doesn’t want that?

Hola! My name is Victoria and it is a pleasure to meet you. I was born and raised in Key West, Fla. Surprisingly; people do actually live there. I'm a fourth year journalism student at the University of Florida, and I am obsessed with food. I watch ungodly amounts of the Food Network. I love to dance, write and swim to my hearts content. I don't know what I would do without my Crackberry and listening to the Silversun Pickups makes me sane.
