Sometimes we just want to relax, close our eyes and chill out—especially when school is getting tough. Whether you are single or in a relationship, here are 5 (love) songs currently on repeat that transport me away from the stressful school week.
- Sierra Nights (feat. Ryan Beatty) by Kevin Abstract
-
This song is not only so good, but the music video is also amazing. We love a good love song even if we can’t exactly relate to the lyrics. It doesn’t hurt that I could listen to Ryan Beatty sing all day long.
- Lost Horse by Asaf Avidan
-
This song played in the final episode of season 4 of Elite on Netflix so it’s no surprise that I was drawn to it. (I have written about Elite a few times… which you can read here and here). Avidan’s lyrics in this song are so unusual but intriguing at the same time. While you are at it, make sure to give the whole Anagnorisis album a listen.
- Feels So Good by Chuck Mangione
-
Can’t go wrong with a classic! While it’s not necessarily a love song, you can just imagine sharing a special dance with the one you love. Honestly, your parents probably know this song, but that doesn’t mean you can’t listen to it too!
- Flightless Bird, American Mouth by Iron & Wine
-
If you are a fan of the Twilight series, and more specifically, the Twilight Soundtracks, then you already know this song is amazing. Need I say more?
- Wicked Game by Gemma Hayes
-
I heard this song in Pretty Little Liars for the first time many years ago, and yet it stays with me. It is so pretty and yet has a heartbreaking message. Hayes sings with so much emotion and puts you right in the feels, but is a great chill song nonetheless.
Hopefully, these songs help give you the rest and relaxation you need!
