Spring Break is finally here. You’re bags are packed, you’re hotel is booked and your ready to hit the beach. What’s the next thing to worry about? How you look. Check out our 7 days of Spring Break hair guaranteed to make you look like a beach goddess.

Saturday

Saturday will most likely be spent traveling but that doesn’t mean your hair has to be punished to a boring ponytail. Try this crafty knotted side pony.
*Best when done one texturized hair

  1. Pull your hair to one side and divide your hair into two sections.
  2. Bring the back piece down and forward.
  3. Then tie your hair into a simple knot.
  4. Secure the knot together with a clear elastic and add a bobby pin to secure.
  5. Tease the pony a bit to add texture and loosen the knot. The messier the better.

Sunday

It’s your first day on the beach so what hairstyle is better than a fishtail braid. It’s cute and surprisingly simple. Don’t know how? Check out this tutorial from the Beauty Department. If you can’t master it on yourself, have a friend try. Sometimes it’s easier to do on someone else.

Monday

The wind, sand and salty water that comes with the beach usually causes your hair to become a big mess. But don’t fight it, embrace it! Release you inner beach goddess with a full head of beachy waves. They are really simple to do. First off, braid your hair the night before and sleep on it. In the morning undo the braids and spritz on a salt spray (I recommend Bumble & Bumble South Surf Spray). Keep spritzing as you twist and scrunch your hair. If you want more volume consider using your blow dryer with diffuser attachment. Now all you have to do is throw on your bikini and your ready to roam the beach with this sexy style.

Tuesday

While lounging by the beach and pool are always enjoyable, there is nothing like hitting the town. You can use the volume you have from your beachy waves to your advantage in this stylish up do.

  1. French braid to small braids on either side of your head. Leave some hair in the middle to make a small pouf.
  2. Once your done with your braids, tease the hair you left out a little to create small pouf. Secure with bobby pins.
  3. Pull your hair into a high pony leaving one braid out.
  4. Using the braid you left out, wrap it around your hair band and secure with a bobby pin.
  5. Using a small comb, tease your pony a little to add volume.
  6. Pull out some pieces in the front to loosen the hairstyle up.

Pair this hair with a LBD and your ready to hit the town and maybe even find a cute spring break fling.

Wednesday

Why not add some color to your hair for Wednesday. Don’t worry the color is temporary. Chalking is the latest hair trend. It’s a cheap and easy way to temporarily dye your hair. All you need is soft pastel chalks (key: do not use oil pastels).

  1. Hold a small section of your hair out. If you have darker hair spray the area you want to color with water. Rub the chalk downwards repeatedly.
  2. Keep doing so until you get the desired color and coverage you want.
  3. Let it air dry completely and then seal the color in with a straightening or curling iron on low.

The look is perfect for on and off the beach. It looks great curled or even in a braid.

Thursday

Give yourself a hair break for the day. This doesn’t mean you have to let your hair go but instead try using hair accessories to jazz it up. Try putting it up in a messing it bun and tying a scarf around your head. The colorful scarf from Red Dress would be perfect. Or let your hair go au natural and throw on a beachy fedora. By adding simple accessories you can take plain hair from drab to fab.

Friday

No trip is complete without a shopping trip. This laced-up back bun is polished and feminine. Perfect for shopping with the girls.

  1. Flip your hair upside down and french braid from the back of your neck up.
  2. Tie off the braid with a clear elastic
  3. Spread a smoothing serum into your hair and pull your hair into a high pony
  4. Smooth out your pony, twist it and wrap it around in pinwheel shape.
  5. Pin with bobby pins and seal with hairspray

Pair with a red lip to take it from day to night!
