With graduation coming quicker than most of us could hope for, it’s important to start transforming your closets from that “grungy” college look into one that screams success. Here are four basic and affordable clothing pieces you should think about adding to your wardrobe.

1. A bright colored pencil skirt: Not only will this turn heads in the office, it will give you the air of confidence that young business woman should have coming into their first corporate job. Match this skirt with a neutral blouse and subtle jewelry or a blazer and patterned scarf. You’ll impress your co-workers with your knowledge and work ethic, as well as your taste in fashion.
2. A simple a-line dress: Dress it up or dress it down! This clothing item is a must-have and a popular go-to for days when your other clothes just won’t suffice. Pair your dress with tights and boots for winter and try colorful wedges and a lightweight sweater for spring. With this kind of buy, you can’t go wrong.
3. A neutral blouse:  The great thing about a simple white or cream blouse is that it goes with anything. Couple this with a bright, patterned skirt and heels or with dress pants and bright jewelry. It will certainly be the most versatile part of your wardrobe.
4. Black or grey dress pants:  Whether you’ll work in the corporate office or experience a more “out of office” role at your new job, dress pants look sleek, but still allow great movement. Try a bright colored blouse and scarf or a blazer with chunky jewelry to spice up your outfit. These “must-haves” will keep you looking good with optimal comfort.

These four items give you room to play around with colorful patterned accessories. Whether you make your outfit pop with a bright scarf or enhance your outfit with big, bold jewelry, you simply can’t go wrong with these in your closet. Get ready to take the working world by storm with great outfits that will have your co-workers asking you for fashion tips!
