Netflix has so many titles available—it can sometimes be overwhelming! Here are five documentaries and docuseries that I found particularly interesting (and I’m not a documentary person at all!).
- The Last Dance
-
This docuseries follows the rise of Michael Jordan and the unforgettable 1997-1998 season. Even if you’re not a basketball fan, this docuseries is captivating and showcases the struggles and triumphs of the great Michael Jordan.
- The Social Dilemma
-
This documentary does an excellent job describing the huge impact social media has had—and continues to have—on our society.
- Athlete A
-
This documentary focuses on the stories of the gymnasts that survived abuse from USA gymnastic’s doctor, Larry Nassar, and details the reporters that exposed USAG.
- Knock Down the House
-
This doumentary details the campaigns of four determined women as they run for Congress in 2018 (including AOC herself).
- Dirty Money
-
This docuseries takes a look at scandal and corruption in business—I was hooked from the first episode about Volkswagen’s “clean diesel” cars.
