So, there’s been some recent news that Taylor Swift is set to finally go on tour next summer, and we cannot wait.
She wasn’t able to tour for her seventh album, Lover, after its release in 2019 because only a few months after its release, the Covid-19 pandemic shut everything down. Since then, Taylor’s released the sister albums folklore and evermore both in 2020. She’s also in the process of regaining the rights to her music after losing them to her first record label. In order to get full rights to her music again, she chose to re-record albums one through six, starting with Fearless in 2021. Later in the year, she followed it up with Red.
These re-recorded albums have the same songs with updated, more mature vocals and production. They also have new, previously unreleased songs that Taylor didn’t put on her albums the first go-round. With 3 brand new albums and two albums that have new sets of songs on top of her older ones, she has plenty of new music to mix in with her classics that we already know and love.
Here are some of her new tracks that we’re hoping to see on the big stage!
- All too well (10 minute version) (taylor’s version)
-
All Too Well is one of her most iconic songs. Swifties have been begging Taylor for years to release the full version, and she finally gave it to us when she re-released her album Red. We need to feel all 10 minutes of angst and heartbreak live and in person. Screaming that bridge with the crowd will be an unmatched experience.
She even created a short film for the song that stars Sadie Sink and Dylan O’Brien that’s won several awards already.
- The Man
-
A cool, fun, feminist anthem. What more do we need?

- cardigan / august / willow
-
After her amazing 2021 Grammy’s performance, we absolutely have to see her perform these three songs onstage again.
- Love story (taylor’s version)
-
Okay so technically this one isn’t new, but it’s a classic. It was the first re-recorded song she released so it absolutely deserves the spotlight.

- No body, no crime (feat. haim)
-
This song feels like Taylor went back to her country roots, but with a dark and edgy twist. She can even bring out HAIM a few nights on tour to perform it with her, and with some really cool visuals and lighting, it could be one of her best live performances.

- Lover
-
Performing the title track for the album is a given. She can turn this into a super intimate, acoustic guitar moment where she’s really connecting with the crowd.
Listen here, and go ahead and check out the rest of the album while you’re at it.
- champagne problems
-
It wouldn’t be a T-Swift concert if we didn’t hear a few sad songs. Her storytelling with this song is so good it’s a definite must for her 2023 setlist.

- Message in a bottle (Taylor’s version) (from the vault)
-
This is one of the previously unreleased Red tracks that she put on the album’s re-recording. This song is so upbeat and would make for an insanely fun dance moment. Literally, imagine belting out the lyrics to this with the other people around you!

- Mirrorball
-
Another sad song, but it’s one of her most relatable (and arguably one of the best songs in her whole discography). Hearing her sing it live will hit way harder than listening to her to sing it through our speakers.

- Paper rings
-
This song is very cute with a catchy chorus, and the lyrics tell a friends-to-lovers-type story that’s really dreamy and exciting. It’s the perfect way to lift the crowd’s spirits after a sad song.

- Gold rush
-
Let’s keep that friends-to-lovers energy going. This song also has a dreamy feel to it that’s not as fast-paced as Paper Rings, but still fun and mellow.

- mr. Perfectly fine (taylor’s version) (from the vault)
-
We love a good heartbreak anthem, and this fits the category perfectly. It just sucks that Joe Jonas had to break Taylor’s heart for us to get it.

- Nothing new (feat. phoebe bridgers)(taylor’s version)(from the vault)
-
Taylor Swift and Phoebe Bridgers on a song together? A match made in heaven.

- Cruel summer
-
Taylor once again proves that she is the Queen of writing bridges. This whole song deserves to be belted out in an arena.
Give it a listen and you’ll understand why!
- Daylight
-
This song closes out the Lover album perfectly, and it would close out a concert perfectly too. We hope this one makes an appearance!

These are just a few of her newer songs that we’re praying make it on the setlist, along with some of her deep cuts and most popular hits. In a perfect world, Taylor would perform every song on all of her albums and we would spend the whole night cycling through every emotion possible. Unfortunately, until we can get the full T-Swift experience live, we’ll have to settle for having full at-home concerts on our own. Here’s a playlist so you can have the perfect jam session!
Better start brushing up on those lyrics before it’s too late!
