So maybe you’re feeling bitter this Valentine’s day, perhaps you’ve been going through a rough patch in your romantic life or your ex is still haunting your dreams.
Maybe you and your boo are going through a rough patch — or maybe you and your boo are actually doing very well and you want to keep it that way.
Maybe you need a confidence boost and a reminder of how great of a person you are and that your self-worth isn’t tied to a single relationship or what other people think of you.
For everything from relationship advice to reminders about self love, Kamie Crawford’s got your back. Not only is she a former Miss Teen USA and a co-host for MTV’s Catfish: The TV Show, but Kamie is also the host of a new advice podcast called “Relationsh*t,” a Dear Media production. What exactly is Relationsh*t? Well, in its own words:
“An advice podcast that covers all relationship topics – the good, the bad and the straight up shitty.”
“Relationships are hard. Whether they be with romantic partners, coworkers, family members or friends – some shit is always bound to go down. Hosted by your virtual BFF, TV Host, Kamie Crawford and a new special guest every week – nothing is off limits. Call in and get advice on the Relationsh*t hotline at 833-445-2643!” (Dear Media)
I first came across Kamie from her time on Catfish, and now having followed her on social media, she is truly a role model (in addition to looking like an actual model herself!). A big mental health and therapy advocate, Kamie isn’t afraid to be open with her fans and the internet community about her mental health struggles. I think it’s especially great how much she is an advocate and an activist, combining conversations about mental health/illness with discussions about social and cultural issues, particularly race.
I just started listening to Relationshi*t relatively recently, but I’m already so in love with it because of the variety of topics that Kamie and her guests talk about. (Also she had Drew Afualo on her show, and I am a big fan of her Tik Toks!) When it comes to taking in questions that fans send in and incorporating them into the podcast, it’s clear that their questions and concerns are genuinely contemplated. Between the laughter and jokes, it’s evident that Kamie tries to host a podcast that is open, honest, and real.
Here are just some of the topics Kamie and her guests have talked about on the show:
- Self-Love*
- Astrology and Compatibility*
- F*ckboys*
- Sex
- Red Flags
- Cheating
- Breakups
- Family relationships
- Interracial dating
- Social media and influence
- Catfishing (duh, of course)
While Valentine’s Day might be around the corner, I would recommend Relationsh*t all year long. Need some advice to help with all the sh*t in your life? Kamie’s got you covered.
