Spring break is a joyous time of relaxation, fun, and friends. You throw caution to the wind, wave buh-bye to all your responsibilities, and whip out the shorts and bikinis that were hidden away all winter. It’s seven days of pure, marvelous awesomeness. And then Monday rolls around and smacks you with the force of a thousand textbooks. It’s really very unfortunate. Here are the five most sob-worthy problems we all face after spring break comes to an end:
1. It’s no longer socially acceptable to go to sleep at 3 a.m. and wake up 12 hours later.
Â
But let’s be real –you’ll probably still go to bed at 3 a.m
2. Professors unanimously decide THIS is the time for 3 tests, 2 papers, and a group presentation. Oh! And a pop quiz.Â
Â
Motivation level: ZERO.
3. Chances are, you’re bank account is negative.
You can kiss that $4.00 Starbucks latte goodbye for a little while.
4. And that bright red sunburn you’re sporting? That’s not going away any time soon.Â
You’ve never felt pain like this before. Well, except maybe last spring break.Â
5. The ultimate post-spring break woe, though? Knowing there’s still an entire month standing between you and summertime. Let the waiting begin.
Don’t even think about finals coming up soon. It’ll make your skin crawl.Â
Don’t worry, though. These problems are only temporary. Summer is the cure for all! Well, except the sunburn. That’s a battle you’ll be facing until fall, we’re afraid.Â
