Some people may think that an after- college Europe tour may be the best (and it can be!), but if you want to travel to many different places before you begin to pay your loans back, traveling while in college is the best way to go.
Before you think about taking out another credit card, and taking out a loan for anything other than school, think about all the places you can go for your summer,
winter and spring breaks.
There are places that are pricier than others, but if you start out small, you can get all the places that are close to home out of the way.
Budgeting is the most important part.
If you can save a good amount every time you get paid, this will accumulate and you will have a substantial amount for when it comes time for your break. Make sure to stick to your budget though because it can be tempting to have a little extra cash on hand.
If you can live at home, do it.
Living on your own is amazing, but when you’re adventurous and your wanderlust kicks in, living at home cuts out even more costs.
Food and rent is possibly two of the things we spend the most money on, so living and eating at home sounds like a reasonable trade for a great traveling experience.
Try not to tack on many bills. If you happen to work a minimum wage job while in college, you’re probably not making much to begin with.
With all your time spent focusing on school you may not work as much, so remember your travel plans and don’t spend more than you have to!
Now start planning!
