Vanessa Onyekwere, this week’s campus celebrity, possesses what I like to call “the three Ps,”—she’s popular, pretty and practical.
Originally from Dallas, Vanessa is now a junior at UH studying broadcast journalism and hopes to become a TV and radio personality. Her practicality doesn’t stop her from dreaming however; her goal is to ultimately become an actress.
Vanessa is involved with several campus organizations—Coog Radio, Coog TV and the Urban Experience Program—and is planning on launching “The Fine Line,” a lifestyle blog and web show, in the spring.
“I feel like my purpose in life is to entertain others,” she said. “I want to make people laugh. I want to contribute good energies and good vibes.”
