Books are one of the greatest ways to grasp and learn new knowledge. Reading books is so profound because it denies you the ability to speak when confronted with an idea. You must listen. It isn’t a conversation. Sometimes it shouldn’t be a conversation. Sometimes we should just listen.
- The Power of Now, by Eckhart Tolle, ” A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment.” Tolle leads us on a trip through which he explains the concept of “being.” This is a truly eye-opening book that will assist you in finding serenity in your life. “You cannot be both unhappy and fully present in the Now” Stated Tolle. Many people live in the past or future until their current moment passes them by. For the rest of your life, The Power of Now will help you enjoy the present moment and achieve a meditation-like state. It not only discusses the present moment, but also how to demolish one’s ego and improve relationships.

- You are a Badass, by Jen Sincero, “How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life.” Sincero discusses the importance of one’s own life. The route of getting there. It also includes meditation exercises and emphasizes the need of loving oneself. “Our subconscious mind contains the blueprint for our lives. It’s running the show based on the unfiltered information it gathers when we were kids, otherwise known as our beliefs.” The purpose of the book is to alter the thought of yourself.

Life isn’t supposed to be this difficult, but we make it such. The writings Wiest writes are all topics we should hear at least once in our lives, from how to handle relationships to the fact that it’s okay to make errors. It’s also a simple book to read!
