5 Ways to Be Happier

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UIC chapter.

Pure happiness may be difficult to achieve for some. However, it is possible, and here are five ways to get on the track of happiness:

1. Reject Negativity

Negative people can affect your vibe in a bad way. Also, those people could have bad intentions for you, and we all know misery loves company. The best thing to do is put yourself around positive people, which gives you a good space to better yourself.

2. Make Your Day

Decide every morning that you are in a good mood. Try to choose to do, and be, your best. Create for yourself a good day.

3. Change Something

If something is truly hindering you, change it. Don’t make excuses, take control.

4. Never Look Back

Leave the past in the past. You can’t change what has happened, so why think about it? Focus on the present, and start creating for yourself a better future.

5. Love Yourself

You MUST love yourself. While you are loving yourself, you’ll want more for yourself. You’ll actually want yourself to be happy!
