6 Things to Thank Coffee For

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UIC chapter.

Thank you for being there during the good, the bad, the really bad, and the ugly (especially the ugly – I mean, who looks good in the morning??)

1. Thank you for being there during my ugly times.

Rolling out of bed, hair half up, no makeup, and sweats is not a good look, but it’s worth it for you. Coffee doesn’t judge; coffee makes you warm and happy.

2. Thank you for keeping me awake during the school week.

Monday mornings are a day from hell, but as soon as I have my coffee, I feel like I can conquer anything!

3. Thank you for making my friends and I closer than ever!

“Wanna grab some coffee and catch up?” is my most used phrase in college. Enjoying a warm (or cold!) cup of coffee while chatting away with friends is one of the best feelings.

4. Thank you for warming me up during my cold commute during the winter.

Waking up and seeing snow on the ground is the easiest way to ruin my day but having a warm cup of coffee makes the commute worth it!

5. Thank you for being a great incentive!

I find myself thinking every night, “If I get out of bed at 7:45am I will have time to stop for coffee before my 9am class!” Getting out of bed is a lot easier when coffee is involved!

6. Thank you for tasting so delicious!

Nothing tastes better than your choice of iced or warm coffee in the morning! Iced coffee is so refreshing during the summer, but a warm cup of coffee during the winter can kick start your day in the best way!

Thank you for breaking my bank account but not my heart.
