Podcasts are small tools with a lot of impact. They can be utilized to increase knowledge on a variety of topics and learn about a new skill or phenomenon. Throughout quarantine, I began to listen to podcasts daily. Not only did I have extra free time, but I found podcasts to be entertaining and helpful to my personal progress. Podcasts are great for multitasking, as you can listen to them as you drive, as you cook or clean, and more.
In this article, I will discuss 7 podcasts that have been impactful to me and my self-love, self-care, and self-growth journey.
- “Unconditionally Worthy” with Dr. Adia Gooden
In this podcast, Dr. Adia who is a clinical psychologist, helps girls and women along their journey to connect with the true source of one’s self-worth. She talks to many experts, who share their own experiences with low self-worth and recommendations for practices that one can begin on their journey. 2. “Slay Girl Slay” with Ashley Leggs
In this podcast, Ashley utilizes storytelling to uplift, motivate, and inspire women of color as they go on to pursue their dreams and show up authentically. 6. “Pepp Talk Podcast” with Breeny Lee
In this podcast, Breeny gives advice for any and every possible situation you may face in your day-to-day life, including relationships, friendships, anxiety, and self-sabotaging behaviors. 7. “Balanced Black Girl” with Lestraundra (Les) Alfred
In this podcast, Les interviews a variety of Black women wellness experts who share advice pertaining to health, self-care, personal development, and well-being. These are just 7 of many podcasts that I absolutely enjoy listening to on a weekly basis. Podcasts have become a very crucial part of my life, and I am happy that I began to listen to them, back in 2020.
