Throughout the college semester, life can be stressful. Before you know it, you find yourself with no free time. There is no time to hang out with friends, go out for drinks, see a good movie, or go shopping with friends. Music has always been my go-to. It allows me to let go temporarily, and create a world of my own. Dance is a form of expression. It frees the mind and releases the stress that accumulates in our bodies. There is no need to take everything so seriously, so why not have a mini dance party? Here are a few songs:
1. Stranger Feat. Future Unlimited by Miami Horror
I love this song because it reminds me of the 80’s, and it has a retro feel to it. Even the album cover is very edgy and minimalist, the pastel colors are gorgeous.Â
2. Boys Life by Small BlackÂ
This is a song I, instantly, knew I had to add to the list. It has a super cool beat to it, and it makes you want to dance.Â
3. Late Night by ODESZA
Odesza is a hip, electronic, dance group. Though this song has no lyrics to it, it has an emotional effect on us.
4. Sweet Nothing by Calvin Harris
Calvin Harris has been one of my favorite DJs for some time now. Though not all of his songs are great, “Sweet Nothing” is definitely a go-to song at any party.
5. Aloha by Mome
I came across this song while I was browsing the internet. I literally listened to this song like 50 times, on repeat, after I heard it for the first time.
6. Surround Sound by Empire of the Sun
Basically any song by “Empire of the Sun.”
7. Â Insane by FlumeÂ
Flume is another, good, electronic dance DJ. He has really good music.
8. This Song by RACÂ
I first heard this song playing at Bloomingdale’s (my workplace), and I found it to be, rather, contagious. Â
9. Dancin’ in Circles by Lady GagaÂ
I love Lady Gaga period.Â
