Growing up, I have always loved fashion and decorating. However, it was impressed upon me at a young age that more money doesn’t necessarily mean more quality. My mother and the other woman in my family served as inspiration for my fashion. As I got older, I had to learn more and explore to find my own way in fashion. So, here are some tips on how to be boujee, even if you’re on a budget.

Online shopping is your best friend.

The best way to shop for nice clothes on a budget is to go on the internet. But, make sure you ain’ getting scammed, sis. Do your measurements first to make sure that you order the proper size. Even though getting a good deal feels good, nothing’s more annoying than having to do a return for something you were enthusiastic about. Figure out what your aesthetic is for your fashion and search for deals. Check sites like Romwe, Shein, and Yesstyle.

When it comes to decorating, DIY it.

I redecorated my room a few years ago. Doing a lot of research online beforehand really served me well. When it comes to decorating, search sites like Amazon and Walmart. Be open to building things yourself. With the internet today, you can put anything together. Use Pinterest and YouTube as inspiration for your ideas. You can even find decorations from Dollar Tree or Five Below, and assemble them to make something gorgeous.

Thrift

When it comes to buying stuff, try to have an open mind. I myself was not used to buying secondhand items. Try stores like Goodwill, Salvation Army and try to go to places in the city. You’ll never know what you’ll find at a consignment store, but try to buy from thrift stores located in areas where you’re guaranteed to find a diverse array of items.

In conclusion, I am giving you these tips in the hopes that you will use them to be the bad a** boujee b**ch you are. I really did live off these tips in order to help myself redecorate my room, change my wardrobe and switch up my style. Enjoy!
