How to Mattify Gloss Lipstick

So you went out and bought a bunch of glossy lipsticks when matte lipstick started trending, and now you are upset that you have to buy more lipsticks to achieve this modern lip look. Well have no fear, here’s a simple trick to mattify any gloss lipstick!

You will need:

  • Glossy Lipstick
  • Translucent Powder
  • Tissue to blot

First: Apply your lipstick as you usually would.

Second: Blot off any excess lipstick.

Third: Apply the translucent powder all over your lips. Translucent powder is typically used to set make up and prevent shine, so applying it all over your lips will soak up the shine and leave you with the infamous matte finish.
