How to Survive the Post Spring Break Blues

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UIC chapter.

Finding yourself immersed once again in real, college life? You’re not alone.

However, for us, it means we only have to survive five-ish weeks of the semester while trying to pass all your classes. Luckily, I’ve gathered a few tips to help us push through April.

    1. Spend time outside.

It can be very tempting to just stay in bed and try to sleep as much as you did on break, but being outside gives you more energy. Sometimes, it actually gives you the energy to get some work done especially when the weather gets nice outside.

     2. Don’t lay off any work that you have to do.

The semester is already two-thirds of the way over; the worse thing you can do is start slacking and procrastinate. It is better to end the semester off strong and then enjoy the four months off during the summer knowing that you put your best effort into all your classes and finals.

     3. Drink plenty of coffee.

You might be tired and not want to be back in school, but you have survived in the other years, and this year isn’t any different. Either way, coffee makes everything better.

     4. Get back into your routine.

Spring break is really awesome because you choose to wake up until 11 a.m., but now that classes have resumed, you need to get used to sleeping and waking up early.

     5. Stay motivated.

There are only a few weeks left, hang in there. You got this, collegiettes!
