Being that UIC supports a very large Liberal Arts & Sciences program, we take a heavy interest in the humanities. Personal expression and study of the human way of life in all areas are specifically analyzed, encouraging the next big scholars of the world to emerge. This is why many departments within the University promote the attendance of all students at the Chicago Humanities Festival each year. With lectures, concerts, and selected films, Chicago residents can experience a surge of information in the topics of literature, history, philosophy, visual and performing arts, and even modern languages.
