One of the biggest attractions for Chicagoans during the winter season is ice skating. Whether it’s at your local neighborhood park, in your backyard (some people can do that), or taking a trip downtown to Millennium Park, this is a good way to get out on a weekend afternoon or evening for some relaxing fun. If you are planning a day with your family, significant other, or friends this an activity that I highly recommend. Skating at Millennium Park will save you money. Regardless if you are a pro or a beginner, this rink is open to anyone. By the way, don’t be afraid to fall. Someone will help you up and even give you free one-on-one lessons about balancing on the ice skates and skating. This is a major plus if you are a college student and want to do something nice. (Side Note: Some of us are ballers on a budget and this can fit into many of our budgets).
If you need a quick snack and something warm to drink definitely check out the Park Grill Café located directly next to the rink. They have amazing hot chocolate and are not stingy with the marshmallows (One of the greatest things in the world!!!). This attraction has some great amenities which are cost efficient, family and date friendly, and enjoyable. While enjoying your day or evening out you are also able to take in the amazing scenery of downtown Chicago. Since we are nearing the Christmas season the trees and buildings will be decorated with holly, reef, and Christmas lights. I simply just recommend that everyone check out this seasonal attraction! You won’t regret it!

I gave it 5 stars! (Don’t forget the Hot Chocolate and marshmallows!!)
