Are you on a budget and are not sure what to do for spring break? Well, down below are a few ideas on how to enjoy your spring break without having to spend too much money.
Plan a Road Trip With Friends
If you want to visit a new town or state, you can plan a road trip with a group of friends. If everyone pitches in for gas money, then you won’t have to spend as much by yourself. You can also camp outside instead of paying to stay at a hotel.
Start Working Out/Eating Healthy
Dealing with school and studying for exams might also take away from being able to make time to eating healthy and staying in shape. During spring break, you can hit the gym or workout at home and try to start to eat healthier. Spring break can be the time to start creating new habits that can turn into long term commitments.
Catch Up With Friends
It’s possible that many of your friends go to different colleges in other towns or states; spring break is a great time to catch up with those who you haven’t seen in a while. As time passes, a lot can change in a person’s life, so using your free time during the break is a great opportunity to meet up with old friends and talk or do something fun together like a lunch or a coffee date.
Try New Restaurants or Coffee Shops
There are a bunch of yummy restaurants and coffee shops out there that you probably haven’t tried. Getting together with a group of friends to visit these different locations can be fun to try. Who knows, maybe you’ll discover your new favorite restaurant or coffee shop!
Have a Relaxation/Self-Care Day and Treat Yourself
After spending so much time in classes and studying for exams, it is likely that your sleep schedule or certain habits are not at their best. Taking a day or a few during spring break to properly take care of yourself is crucial. Focus on yourself and do activities that you like, but usually are unable to do because of school. You can listen to music, catch up on shows, go to the spa, get a manicure or pedicure, catch up on sleep, or just relax at home!
Spring break can also be used as a time to get out of your comfort zone and try something that you’ve never done before. You can rock climb, hike, try new foods, get over a fear, meet new people, or ask your friends to show you something new that they like but you’re unfamiliar with.
These are just a few ideas on what you can do if you plan to stay in the area during your spring break or if you are on a budget and do not want to spend a ton of money.
