Lately, I’ve been contemplating switching majors. My current major doesn’t bring too much excitement for me although I enjoy the classes I take for both of my minors. When I talked to some of my friends about it, one of them told me that she wanted to switch her major but she didn’t want to get behind. There are a lot of people who have this dilemma for this reason or because of pressure from their family to study in particular areas.
If you plan on being a musician, why are all of your classes history-related? Is it because your parents told you that it was nearly impossible to be a successful musician? If you had the option to do anything you want in life, what would you do? What was your answer? That’s what you should be working towards now.
If you go all the way through with college and get a degree in something that you are not passionate about, you’ll probably spend a lot of your post-college life unhappy. Invest in yourself and your future.
Work on achieving your aspirations every day, even if it’s just an hour.
