Evans Orchard, located in Georgetown, Ky., is a large, family-friendly farm filled with fun activities for everyone of any age.
With a market, café, play area for children, hayrides and pick-your-own apples, blueberries, pears, strawberries and pumpkins; one would think they covered all their bases. But they did not stop there, the Orchard added one more surprise this year: a sunflower field.
Evans Orchard officially opened their new sunflower field for the first time to the public on July 25, allowing guests to pick-your-own sunflowers for $1 a stem, walk through a mini-maze of sky-high sunflowers and take as many pictures as you wish.
They even extended their business hours to allow sunset pictures in their sunflower field on July 28 and Aug. 4, giving photographers and guests alike beautiful memories.
Evans Orchard also posted an announcement on their Facebook page at the end of the 2018 sunflower season to “stay tuned” for sunflower field events for next year.
This free-to-the-public sunflower field would be a wonderful idea for family photos, a fun date or just to walk through and get lost amongst the beauty.
I highly recommend checking out this sunflower field adventure next summer.
