If you are anything like me you slacked on your self care during holiday break, which is not a good thing. Therefore, I have decided to share some of my go to ways to reverse what damage I did to myself.
Â
- First things first, you more than likely need a ton of water to bring your nearly dead organs back to life. Try drinking at least a gallon a day.
Â
- Next, put down the pumpkin pies that your grandmother made you. Swap those out for tons of delicious fruits and veggies like broccoli and oranges.
Â
- Hit the gym. Exercise, get your limbs moving! Unfortunately running around the mall shopping for gifts or searching for your mom does not count as actual cardio.
Â
- Â Log of off social media for a bit. Deactivate your Facebook and sign out of Twitter. You have been torturing yourself going through the profiles and timelines of everyone you graduated with (or your high school crush who is constantly on Twitter bragging about investing in Bitcoin).
Â
- Relax, but do not get too comfortable. You need a break, but you will be starting a brand new semester which will bring chaos into your life. Watch something on Hulu or Netflix (I highly recommend âMudboundâ) and throw on a face mask. Afterwards, be prepared to take on the world and your stats class!
Â
Bonus Tip: Journal! I do not practice this as regularly as I wish I would but when I do it is a major stress reliever!
