HC: Where are you from?Z: Atlanta, Ga.
HC: What is your favorite thing about UK?Z: The constant appreciation for the school that the student body seems to have daily.
HC: What are you most excited about for this semester?Z: I am most excited about getting closer and closer to my goals. I am a junior, therefore I have to start making certain decisions that will affect me after I graduate, and I cannot wait!
HC: What activities or clubs are you involved in at UK?Z: I am the director of traditions for the Student Activities Board, I am a part of the Common Reading Experience Team, I am an ambassador for the College of Design, I am a part of IDSA, which is a national student organization for interior designers, and I am a part of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
HC: Could you tell us a little about how your position with SAB and Homecoming?Z: I am the director of traditions on SAB. I plan four of the homecoming events for the Homecoming Week in the fall semester. In the spring semester, I plan Legacy Week, and I am working on a few other things to bring to our campus.
HC: What is your favorite Homecoming event planned for this year?Z: My favorite event planned this year would have to be the Street Fair. It is one of our new events, and I have been working long hours since fall 2013 (as long as the other events too). However, I cannot wait to see such a diverse student population having a great time at this event.
HC: What is your dream job? What are you planning on doing after you graduate?Z: My dream job would be as a fashion show producer or an exhibit/museum designer. I like to make experiences for people. I want to be able to create spaces people would talk about for years to come.
HC: What’s your best piece of advice for women?Z: My best piece of advice for women, in general, would be to be your best self. And no matter what you do, do it so well that no person currently living, or no person yet to be born, can do it any better than you can. Women are born to shine, and being your best self will guarantee the world to see us.
