Stumped on how to spend your time off this fall break? No worries, we’ve got some ideas right here!
1. Spend some time at the beach.
This one is perfect for anyone staying here in Wilmington over the break. Use this break from class and studying to relax and unwind by the ocean. (Fingers crossed that it doesn’t rain all week.)
2. Go to the mountains.
Maybe you’ve gotten a little tired of the coast (“people get tired of the beach?!”) and you want to spend some time on the opposite side of the state. The Blue Ridge mountains are beautiful this time of year–the leaves are starting to change and the air is starting to cool. This could be the perfect opportunity to take a visit. If you’re the outdoorsy type, you could even turn it into a camping trip.
3. Catch up with old friends.
If you’re still on good terms, get your old friend group from high school together for a little reunion. It’ll be fun to hear what everyone’s been up to and to see how much each of you has grown and changed since your high school days. It’ll be even more fun to reminisce on all the crazy things you used to do together in those high school days.
4. Treat yourself.
Often at this point in the semester we feel like if we aren’t constantly doing something productive, we’re going to fall behind and our GPA is going to fall with us. Fall break can be an opportunity to get ahead, but it’s also a great opportunity to take it for what it is–a break. Using the break to take some time off and relieve some stress is going to be much more helpful in the long run than studying the entire time. Feel free to take these few days off to do absolutely nothing. Binge watch Netflix, wear your pajamas all day, read on the couch for hours–treat yourself and don’t feel bad about it. You deserve this break, and when you get back to school you’ll be well rested and ready to finish off the semester as strong as you started it.
