Hit the beach this spring break and check out these five locations in Wilmington, NC:Â
Mailbox on the Beach:Â Located at the end of Figure 8 Island (right next to Wrightsville beach) locals and tourists leave letters for anyone to read. Stop by and write your own or just enjoy the view!Â
Bitty and Beau’s: This coffee shop went from a tiny retail space to a booming business in just one year. The owners have two children who have down syndrome, so they decided to open the business and hire employees with down syndrome as well. This became a huge success and they are already looking for a second location- it’s even Rachel Ray’s official coffee on her show!Â
Airlie Gardens: This beautiful 67 acre property (originally family owned) is now a public sanctuary for everyone to enjoy. Explore every twist and turn that Airlie Gardens has to offer, definitely Instagram worthy!Â
Downtown Wilmington:Â A gorgeous waterfront view filled with amazing restaurants, shopping and desserts! Check out the donut shop, Wake n Bake, which offers crazy toppings such as potato chips, pineapples, cereal and more!Â
Masonboro Island: Right outside of Wrightsville beach, a lot of locals kayak and surf in the area. There is nothing on the small island but wildlife, so it is a great escape from everything.
