Do detox diets really work?
It seems like the popular thing these days is going on a detox diet to get rid of all the bad toxins in your system. There are all sorts of detox diets that are out there. Some include just drinking liquids; others allow you to eat just vegetables and fruit. But either way, there are consequences for participating in these detox diets. Side effects can include low energy, low blood sugar, muscle aches, lightheaded, and nausea. Now, these side effects don’t seem like they are a healthy way to let bad toxins out of your system.
Grocery shopping can also be a bit of a challenge. Some of these detox diets require you to buy the ingredients or pills from the specific distributor and can be expensive. Many students don’t have the energy to work out when they’re on this detox. I suggest all these negative things, yet some can be effective. It all depends on the individual who is doing the detox. However, if you usually eat a lot of food during the day it might be a good idea to incorporate some veggies or fruit into your detox.
It’s always a good idea to treat your body good and try things that help flesh out the bad in your system. It is just important to always inform yourself and be careful of the risks involved with certain diets. There are all sorts of things out there that may not be healthy for your individual diet. So my advice, is to read all about the food and nutrients you need in your diet and if you are still getting those things from your detox. Whatever you do, limit your detox to a short amount of time, no longer than a week, unless you know your body can handle it. So read up on the popular detox diets before you go for it! Stay fit, and stay healthy!Â
