This Saturday, Emma Stone joined forces with the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) Revlon Run/Walk for women in the fight against cancer in New York City.
Stone co-hosted the event with Bravo’s Andy Cohen early Saturday morning.  She says the event is something that is close to her because her mother, Krista Stone, was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in 2008.
During her mother’s year and a half of chemotherapy, Stone put on a brave face and continued to visit her mother in Arizona.
“I was oddly stoic, the opposite of how I usually am,” Stone told People. “But it was terrifying.”
Since the first EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women in 1994, the event has raised more than $70 million, according to the charity’s website.
The money raised goes toward treatment, research and financial support for women facing cancer.Â
