Bootie, Bootie, Bootie, Booties Rockin’ Everywhere

The footwear department has made a big splash in the style world in the past few years. The ankle boot, or bootie, trend has been on the scene for quite a while now. However, just recently has the bootie craze hit our campus–hard. Many women were afraid to give booties a try because they were known to make ankles look chunky. Nonetheless, there are different kinds of booties out there for you to try (heel, flat, laced, etc.)

Here are a few tips if you want to join the rest of campus on the bootie trend:

Cuffed Hem:

This is a great idea for all of the vertically challenged girls out there! Rolling the hems can show off a bit of your ankle skin, which can help your legs look skinnier and longer. Stay away from straight-legged and boot-cut jeans when trying this out.

Perfect Hem:

Having the hem of your pants hit right above the booties is a classic choice. This will result in a slick and tailored look that everyone will love.

Tucked-In:

Tucking in your pants is the most popular way to wear your booties. The fitted look gives the illusion of longer and leaner legs. Leggings and jeggings are the most ideal for this comfortable and stylish look. After all, what’s more comfortable than a pair of leggings?

Messy Rolled Hem:

If you’re trying to go for a more effortless look, the messy rolled hem is for you! The rolled hems don’t need to match, so don’t stress over it,

Layered with Socks:

This is great for fall, winter and spring. Layering your laced booties with neutral colored socks can be tough, as it can make your ankles look bulky. But don’t be scared to get on board!

Dresses and skirts:

With spring arriving, this will likely be seen among the ladies on campus. Its an unexpected choice, but it can add some fun and spice to your outfit.
