Looking for a place to eat off campus? Here are the best local places for lunch and dinner:

Indochine

This cute little Vietnamese restaurant has the best food with a very ethnic vibe. Inside seating is filled with Vietnamese culture while outside seating features a beautiful garden and koi pond. It is a little pricy, but the portions are huge. This is definitely a great place for a special occasion.

Islands

Famous for their dollar tacos, Islands’s Mexican cuisine is amazing–and at college student prices. With a beach theme and an open atmosphere, this is a great place to hangout and share some queso.

Might As Well

The most popular bar to hangout after a long day also has some great food for those who are under 21. It’s always a little crowded but their baked macaroni and cheese is definitely worth the wait.

Flaming Amy’s Bowl and Flaming Amy’s Burrito Barn

Flaming Amy’s two famous restaurants have great food and great prices. The Bowl is a 50’s themed restaurant with the bottomless bowl–fill it to the brim with anything that catches your eye and the chef cooks it right in front of you. Over at the Burrito Barn, there are many selections with all different types of burritos, or choose your favorite Mexican dish for a reasonable price.

Riverboat Landing

Located in the heart of downtown, this little two story restaurant has great food along with breathtaking views. This is a perfect place to take a date, if you can get the picture perfect balcony seating on the second floor.

The Basics

Located downton, this classic Southern food with a twist is perfect for everything from brunch to dinner. Reasonably priced and plenty of leftovers afterwards, you will not go home hungry. Especially if you try the mushroom risotto (pictured below) it is absolutley to die for.
