At the 2017 Grammys on Sunday night, Adele surprised everyone during her tribute to the late George Michael by stopping mid-performance. After a shaky start, Adele stopped and apologized,  asking if she could start over, “I am sorry for starting again, can we please start it again? I’m sorry, I can’t mess this up for him.” The crowd stood and cheered in approval, and Adele’s second round of “Fastlove” was flawless.

Why did she feel like her performance was not going well?

According to Vanity Fair, Adele explained that she had a bad case of nerves and had a shaky rehearsal as well. Adele has had a history with stage fright especially after a pitchy performance at last years Grammys, but who wouldn’t? The crowd was extremeley supportive with two standing ovations, not to mention her five Grammy wins; not a bad night, Adele.
