4 Ways to Wear: A Floral Sundress

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNH chapter.

Finally the snow has melted and Durham, N.H. is starting to warm up. Soon we will be able to shed our coats and trade in fur lined boots for flip flops. As college students we may not be able to fill a closet with a new spring look for every occasion. Instead you can take a basic spring staple and dress it up or down to fit what you wear it for. Starting with a warm weather essential, here are ways to rock your typical short and flowery spring dress.

To class: For an appropriate class look, slip on a light cardigan or shrug over your dress. Pair it with some cute, simple flats. It is a nice alternative to the just-rolled-out-of-bed look, without being too dressy.

(Reese knows how to keep it classy!)

To a party: When you are going out for the evening belt the dress to minimize its flow and show off your figure. Pair it with a stylish pair of heels to elongate your legs. Add some jewelry, simple enough to avoid over accessorizing, and you’ll have the perfect sleek look for a night out.

For a laid back night out with friends: If you opt to take a night off from the party or bar scene and just want to hang out with your girls, a spring dress is the perfect option. Flip flops and a light jacket should do it, the dress is already pretty enough for a simple evening. You can try pairing it with some jewelry like a chunky necklace to give it an extra bit of flair.

(A cool leather jacket + floral = a definite fashion Do!)

To the beach: It may be too cold to go swimming but put on a bathing suit just in cash and throw your dress on over it. Grab your shades and a cute straw beach hat-Urban Outfitters has a ton of cute ones-slide on your flip flops and you’re all set to go!
